Reports of a flash in the sky - was it a Meteor?

Reports streamed in to the Lakes District News after a bright flash in the sky was seen by many local residents.

At approximately 7:30 pm on Saturday Nov. 7, 2009 the sky above Burns Lake was lit up by a mystery astronomical event.
