Flooding damages KC area homes, businesses with up to 4 feet of water

For Chris Carle, Monday morning’s flood was the fifth time her business, Coach’s Bar & Grill in south Kansas City, has been under water.

Carle, whose sports bar at 103rd Street and Wornall Road has been in business for three decades, said this storm packed a lot of punch. High water swept away trash bins, large containers and even a few vehicles in the lot near the bar.
