Dragons:
What are They and Where Do They Come From?
Lucus 09/20/2010 1:02 PM
Revelations 12:3 And there appeared
another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and
ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
Revelations 12:7 And there was war in
heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought
and his angels,
Revelations 12:9 And the great dragon was
cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the
whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with
him.
There are many various references
to Dragons in ancient texts from the Christian
Bible, to a prophetic poem written in the 15th
century. According to ancient mythology these
Dragons were serpents, could fly, breath fire,
had horns, a tail, were usually Red, Green, or
White, and they live in caves in the ground.
The Christian Bible says that The
Dragon was cast out of the Heavens (sky) to
Earth. It also says that The Dragon will cause a
great flood, that the woman has to run to the
mountains to flee from.
Once you know what a Dragon
really is, Revelations starts to make a whole
lot more sense.
---So...what exactly are
Dragons?---
The Christian Bible tells us
in Revelations 12:9 in plain terms that The
Devil, AKA Satan, is a Dragon.
The two main types of Dragons
are European Dragons and Chinese Dragons, both
of which hold fundamental values in their
respective ancient cultures. People feared and
respected these Dragons.
The word dragon
derives from Greek δρακων, via Latin draco. It
is attested in Middle English from the 13th
century, in the context of medieval bestiaries
and legends.
---Fossil
Records---
You would think
that with all this talk of Dragons that there
would be fossil records of these beasts
someplace? Since there is a vast fossil record
of Dinosaurs that existed 65 Million years ago
you would think that there would be fossil
records of an animal that supposedly existed
only thousands of years ago, but there is none.
That would tell us that Dragons did not exist as
an actual animal.
---My
Hypothesis---
I suggest that
Dragons are very real, people are just looking
for them in the wrong place. If you want to see
Dragon fossils you need not look any further
than The University of New Mexico's Meteorite
Museum.
I believe that
Dragons are nothing more than Comets, Asteroids,
Meteors, Meteorites, and Shooting Stars.
How about we take
a look at the evidence.
A Dragon could
fly, breath fire, had horns, a tail, were
usually Red, Green, or White, and they live in
caves in the ground.
Notice in the
video below, especially the last segment, as the
fireball comes in it appears to shoot off horns.
These would be nothing but jets of hot gas
shooting from the face of the object. It also
has a tail too.
---DRAGONS ARE
USUALLY RED, GREEN, OR WHITE---
What colors do
meteors, comets, asteroids, and shooting stars
display as they are entering Earth's atmosphere
and burning up upon entry? Yup, you guessed it,
red, green, and white, depending on their
composition.
---THEY HAD
HORNS AND A TAIL AND BREATHED FIRE---
---THEY LIVE
IN CAVES---
Imagine this...
The year is 1108 AD. The local goat farmer in a
small village is laying on his back, looking up
at the stars after a long day's work. Out of
what seemed to him like no place a fiery figure
emerges, crosses the sky (flies), and seems to
come down to Earth.
The first thing
the next morning the goat farmer reports to the
King that he saw a Dragon cross from East to
West and he suspected it landed in the next
village over.
The King sends
his 5 best Knights out to investigate and
destroy the Dragon if found.
When
the Knights arrive to the area described by the
goat farmer, where he thought the Dragon landed,
the first thing they come across (out of the
ordinary) is a crater, and that the surrounding area
was burnt to a crisp.
Thus was born the
great legend that fire breathing Dragons flew and lived in
caves in the ground.
Who else do we
know that is Red, and has horns and a tail, and
is also known as The Dragon?
Revelations 13:2
And the beast which I saw was like unto a
leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a
bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and
the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and
great authority.
The
beast is the world leader who emerges from the
ashes of the destruction wrought on by the
passing of The Dragon.
---MOTHER SHIPTON'S POEM---
Mother Shipton Foretells of a Fiery Dragon in a
prophetic poem that was published in 1641
A fiery dragon will cross
the sky
Six times before this earth shall die
Mankind will tremble and frightened be
for the sixth heralds in this prophecy.
For seven days and seven nights
Man will watch this awesome sight.
The tides will rise beyond their ken
To bite away the shores and then
The mountains will begin to roar
And earthquakes split the plain to shore.
And flooding waters, rushing in
Will flood the lands with such a din
That mankind cowers in muddy fen
And snarls about his fellow men.
He bares his teeth and fights and kills
And secrets food in secret hills
And ugly in his fear, he lies
To kill marauders, thieves and spies.
Man flees in terror from the floods
And kills, and rapes and lies in blood
And spilling blood by man kinds hands
Will stain and bitter many lands
And when the dragon's tail
is gone,
Man forgets, and smiles, and carries on
To apply himself - too late, too late
For mankind has earned deserved fate.
His masked smile - his false grandeur,
Will serve the Gods their anger stir.
And they will send the
Dragon back
To light the sky - his tail will crack
Upon the earth and rend the earth
And man shall flee, King, Lord, and serf.
